Lists resources available to Métis people in British Columbia through federal, provincial and regional agencies in the areas of children and families, education, economic opportunities, health, housing, identification and data collection, wildlife stewardship, and arts and culture. Based on results of scan makes four recommendations about accessible information, accountable distribution of resources, increased Métis-specific resources, and equitable access to services.

Includes Saskatoon City Council minutes from a meeting on Monday, January 24, 1977 regarding a motion to establish a Community Liaison Committee to highlight issues of importance to understanding and co-operation between the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities in Saskatoon.

Uses a combination data from 2001 and 2006 Censuses, 2011 National Household Survey, and the Indian Register to calculate incidence and demographics for the two groups. Comments on implications of the high rates for young First Nations men, which could result in distortion of the male-female gender ratio and affect the continued legal existence of Status First Nations.
