A photograph of the George Mann Jr. family on a picnic, probably near their homestead, 14 miles north-east of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. The family used to take holiday trips to the north near Onion Lake where Mann Jr. grew up. It is possible he used these outings to visit a daughter (Mabel Trottier) he fathered in Onion Lake in 1898.

A photograph of George Mann Jr. in a buggy hitched to a single horse. The buildings in the background look like Indian agency buildings, possibly in Saddle Lake where his father was Indian agent from 1900 to 1905. He grew up in Onion Lake, North West Territories and like his father was a fluent Cree speaker. He was hired as a Government Telegraph officer in 1902, and later raised a family on a homestead 14 miles north-east of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.

A photograph of George Mann Jr. (left) with two friends in a hunting camp, probably north of Lloydminster in the early 20th century. They appear to be having good time. He grew up in Onion Lake between 1883 and 1900(see historical note), became a Government telegraph operator in 1902, and married Barr Colonist Ethel Burgess in 1904.
