French edition. Reminder to readers of how large the Kamloops district is and also how widespread and remote the people are in the region. How they are often found in tiny communities of 50 to 200 people; circuit he must visit is 700 to 800 kilometres, including 1,500 Aboriginals, belonging to 12 to 15 tribes. LeJeune says that it takes four months to make the circuit as he stays one week in each location. Community members typically see the Priest three times a year.

Story of how "in the beginning" Aboriginal people lived together under one big lodge or outside but that they later started to build cabins with tree trunks, branches, straw and earthen plaster. Two of these identical buildings [for the missionary?] were called Reunion Houses, Catechism Houses, or the Priest's House and were later replaced by wooden structures. Describes how these "primitive" houses are slowly becoming buildings of good taste, according to architectural regulations. Describes how the altars have improved.

LeJeune has purchased a "Diaphragm Mimeograph" to do this, printing four Wawa pages at a time. Death of Father McGuckin on April 7 in Vancouver. LeJeune writes that "Our sick Indians are always anxious and happy to recieve Holy Communion whenever they can." Met someone the Indians call "the Prophet," Spuzzum Dick, near Spence's Bridge and describes complaints to the Prophet received about the Minister. The Prophet said there were many ways to the sky [heaven?].
