Description
Comparison of mainstream and traditional current literature. Mainstream is that which is written in English, by Aboriginal authors, and belongs to one of the standard genres - fiction, poetry, biography, as well as history and autobiography. Traditional literature includes forms like myths, legends, songs, tales, and oratories that are composed in an Aboriginal language, for Aboriginal audiences.
