Description
Indigenous Studies Thesis (Ph.D.)--Trent University, 2012.
Authors discuss the possibilities and limitations inherent in their use of Métissage—assemblage through mixing, blending—as a research method in their PhD studies.
In response to the study “Prenatal Care among Mothers Involved with Child Protection Services in Manitoba.” Authors note several biases in the study including: failure to discuss negative stereotypes resulting in differential care, and a disregard of resurgent community-led models of care.
