Study primarily consisted of interviews with 19 elders about contact with each child and sibling with respect to nine common activities: recreation, visits to talk, family gatherings, participation in religious activities, telephone conversations, sharing a meal, exchanging gifts, and giving or receiving help. The effects of proximity, gender, marital status and equity of helping relationship were then analyzed.
