Historical note:
Story about a little Cree girl who helps her grandfather learn his language after he tells her about his experience of residential school, separation from his family and culture and loss of language.
Suitable for use with students aged 6-9 (Grades 1-4). Text in English with some Cree vocabulary.
Designs by artists from the Dish with One Spoon Treaty territory feature animals from the region and are labelled in Ojibway and English.
