The Soft-Spoken Way vs. the Outspoken Way: a Bicultural Approach to Teaching Speech Communication to Native People in Alberta

Study evaluated speech performance in terms of delivery, with special attention given to paralanguage, using a sample of Aboriginal and Euro Canadians. Bicultural approach then used with Aboriginal students and results discussed.
