T.C. Power Papers - Robe and Fur Book. - 5 August 1876-3 June 1884.

A Robe & Fur Book from the T.C. Power store in Fort Walsh, which lists robes and furs collected from 5 August 1876 to 3 June 1884. Animals used were buffalo, fox, wolf, coyote, badger, skunk and antelope.

Historical note:

T. C. Power and Bro was a prominent mercantile business started in the 1800s by Thomas Charles Power in Fort Benton, Montana. Daniel Webster Marsh helped establish the firm in Canada. Marsh opened up a store in Fort Walsh, Saskatchewan in 1876. As the Canadian Pacific Railway moved west, Marsh saw the opportunity to open up new stores. He opened up their stores in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan in 1883 and Calgary, Alberta in 1884.
