Study involved 317 individuals aged 18 years and older participated in baseline and follow-up evaluations (after 4 years) conducted in 2012-2013 and 2016. Showed association between incidence of subjective excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) and less money left over at end of month, house in need of repairs, having water or dampness in the last 12 months, and damage caused by dampness.

Description
Uses data from the 2012 Aboriginal peoples survey to assess several socio-demographic characteristics of Indigenous people living off-reserve and receiving income assistance (IA). Findings indicate that 12% of Indigenous people living off-reserve receive IA, and that receipt of IA is highly associated with precarity of work, being female, having less than a high school education, and having significantly poorer mental and physical health.

There are a few empty wagons, two horses and two people visible amongst the teepees. There are some shrubs in the foreground and small trees in the background.
