Head recommends that the Urban Native Housing Program be continued in the future and highlights some of its success as well as the great need for such programs not only in Lethbridge, but also in Calgary. Following the presentation Martin Heavy Head says a closing prayer which convenes the Commission's sitting for the day.

Baker, "an active disabled woman doing research work with the Aboriginal Women's Council" discusses disabled Aboriginal people's issues in British Columbia. Amongst the issues Baker addresses are ignorance of services available, housing assistance, and their rights, and the issue of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Baker also makes a variety of recommendations to deal with these issues.

He foresees the future government of Nunavut as being able to negotiate with the federal government for much-needed schools, employment and housing for the Cambridge Bay area. File contains an individual presentation by Lucienne Robinson detailing her frustrating personal experiences with Bill C-31 and her attempt to return to her home First Nations in northern Ontario. Following the presentation is a question-and-answer session with the Commissioners.

File contains an individual presentation by Peter Nakogee, via translator, believing that this Commission will be productive and will result in positive changes for Aboriginal peoples, as opposed to Commissions past. One area of concern lies with programs not being available to off-reserve individuals. Nakogee calls for funding for better housing on reserves and for fire protection and ambulance service in the Moosonee-James Bay area.

He also briefly discusses housing construction on First Nations without proper building standards. Following the presentation is a discussion with Commissioner Allan Blakeney.

This file contains a presentation by Boas Jararuse focusing on the lack of proper housing in his home community of Makkovik. Jararuse states that substandard housing units is currently being built and as a carpenter, he already sees problems with the construction. He is frustrated with the local council and asks the Commission for help in addressing the housing problem. A short question-and-answer period with the Commissioners follows the presentation.

File contains a presentation by Charlotte Wolfrey, Rigolet Housing and Toby Andersen, Chairman of the Torngat Regional Housing Association. Wolfrey gives an overview of the housing situation in Labrador, and Andersen discusses the rural native housing program for Inuit and rural residents in the province. Commissioners Dussault and Robinson contribute some questions on housing in the area.

File contains a presentation by Cheryl Lynn Hagan-Deschamps of the Tawaak Housing Association. Hagan-Deschamps discusses her organizations work in providing urban Aboriginal housing, and recommends that Aboriginal organizations be exempted from government cutbacks to housing funds going on at the time. Following the presentation the assembled Commissioners discuss Aboriginal housing and funding concerns with Hagan-Deschamps.

File contains a presentation by Chief Councillor Danny Watts. Watts discusses housing and infrastrcture, as well as his orgnaization's need for increased revenue to meet its obligations. Watts also discusses the Federal government and his views on affordable housing provision.

File contains a presentation by Chief Dan Koosees of Kashechewan First Nations in Ontario. He describes living conditions on his First Nations as "below sub-standard" and gives the Commissioners a written proposal relating to a five-year housing and infrastructure construction program on Kashechewan First Nation.
