Survey conducted in 2015-2016 used Respondent Driven Sampling to achieve sample size of 908. In addition to health questions respondents were asked about a wide range of topics including culture, identity, housing, school experience, and parenting.

This file contains an individual presentation by Claude Bisonnette, a non-Aboriginal who is a certified life insurer in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. He began working with the citizens of Kahnawake in 1987, to the surprise of his co-workers. Bisonnette had to assure them that "(I)f I was having problems with the Mohawks I simply wouldn't go back there." He tells the Commissioners that he is often shocked at the negative attention minor incidents in Kahnawake are given and says the media doesn't help.

File contains a presentation by Cathy LaValley. LaValley discusses the federal "Pathways to Success" educational and job-training program in Saskatchewan, specifically as it pertains to Metis residents.

This file contains a presentation by Gloria Thomas and Jan Longboat relating to the Community Health Review's work for the Six Nations Confederacy. This two-year project addresses the lack of resources and health planning for Six Nations. Other concerns include transferring of First Nations health services, lack of access to mental health services, non-insured health benefits and traditional healing. A question-and-answer session with the Commissioners follows the presentation.

The file contains a presentation by Joylene Shade. Shade, a fourth year Sociology student from the University of Lethbridge, discusses sexuality and teenagers. Specifically Shade highlights a lack of knowledge amongst Aboriginal youth regarding the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases, and human sexuality in general. Shade makes recommendations to the Commission to help ameliorate this situation.

The file contains a Workshop Report for the Metis Council of Women by Joey Hamelin. Hamelin discusses the need for empowerment, the need to educate "our communities, ourselves, towards the acceptance of lesbian and gay people," the need for increased female leadership in communities, the need for networking, sharing, and a national strategy to tackle the suicide issue. Chairperson Hodgson then makes some announcements and pronounces the day's session at a close.
