Province believes JRC contributed to understanding justice from First Nation and Métis perspectives, and factors contributing to the relationship between Aboriginal peoples and the mainstream justice system. Province's action plan will address socioeconomic issues, crime reduction and victimization.

Saskatchewan Indian Cultural College (SICC) granted Community College status by the Province of Saskatchewan.

Discusses Nunavut residents' expectations of land claims, the trends of support for the Nunavut Land Claim Agreement, and the structure of support for the agreement.

Produced as part of the evaluation of the British Columbia Tripartite Framework Agreement on First Nation Health Governance. Study consists of a combination of literature review and interviews with those playing key roles within the First Nations Health Authority, Ministry of Health, Provincial Health Services Authority, BC Regional Health Authorities, BC Coroners Service and BC Patient Safety and Quality Council, which were conducted between July 2018 and January 2019.

Examines three court cases in 2002 that discuss provincial authority in relation to Aboriginal culture: Kitkatla Band v. British Columbia (Minister of Small Business, Tourism and Culture), Ross River Dena Council Band v. Canada and Wewaykum Indian Band v. Canada.

Curriculum and Instruction Thesis (M.A.)--University of Victoria, 2012.

Looks at reforms to the 1992 Canada National Forest Strategy proposed by Aboriginal Forest Strategy in the areas of legislation, policies and management practices.

Discusses case involving Métis and Non-Status Indians. Plaintiffs sought three declarations: that the two groups are "Indians" as defined by the Constitution Act, 1867; that the Crown owes a fiduciary duty to them; and they have the right to be consulted and negotiated with as to their rights, interests, and needs.

Authors highlight ongoing narratives in how Indigenous peoples have been portrayed in Canadian welfare policy discourse from 1867 to the present; discusses the ethical implications of representing Indigenous peoples as “non-productive” and therefor undeserving. Recommends a reformation of policy that is conscious of historic and contemporary colonial dispossession and disenfranchisement.

Social Work Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Toronto, 2003.

Committee was formed as a result of the report First Nations Representation on Ontario Juries (the Iacobucci Report) which looked at underrepresentation of on-reserve individuals on Ontario's provincial jury rolls as well as systemic issues in the justice system. Details the Committee's final advice, after extensive consultations with communities, with respect to each of the 17 recommendations found in the report.
