Historical note:
The Wanuskewin Heritage Park is located northeast of the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It opened in June 1992, after three years of planning for a park that would not only preserve centuries of cultural heritage, but also help build a bridge between First Nations and non-First Nations people of the province.Using the example of the Santee Community Schools on the Santee Sioux reservation to examine the failure of external interventions in addressing Indigenous educational needs.
