Summarizes findings from two phases of project which investigated whether poor indoor air quality could be responsible for the high rates of severe lower respiratory infections in Inuit children. Indoor air quality in 20 Cape Dorset residences and ventilation rates in 100 dwellings from four communities were measured.
Brief discussion of recommendations from five policy papers generated from the Identifying Our Needs: A Survey of Elders about disease prevention efforts, chronic disease management programs, availability of home/community-based long term care services, and availability of health care and other services.
