Students need to decide what aspects of their lifestyle they want to preserve and include them in the treaty terms. Leaders sign a document written in symbols they don't understand and subsequently legislation is enacted which makes the original inhabitants wards of the state.

Google, YouTube and university databases were searched. Eighty-two sources were identified, 60% of which were by an Indigenous author/partner/illustrator.
