Description
Short story.
Story about a little Cree girl who helps her grandfather learn his language after he tells her about his experience of residential school, separation from his family and culture and loss of language.
Suitable for use with students aged 6-9 (Grades 1-4). Text in English with some Cree vocabulary.
Primary reading level storybook.
Sample lesson focuses on one chapter in book which follows the adventures of grandfather and his grandson. Recommended grades 2-3.
