Involves students researching leaders Nicolle Gonzalez, Roxanne White, Madonna Thunderhawk, and Auntie Pua Case and their work using ancestral knowledge to protect the sacred.
To accompany book about Josephine-ba Mandamim, an Ojibwe Grandmother, and her love for water; she has walked around the Great Lakes to raise awareness of the importance of protecting it for future generations.
Appropriate for use with students aged 6-9 (Grades 1-3). English text with some Ojibwe vocabulary.
