After review of existing literature authors conducted systematic survey of electronic curricular resources pertinent to the Ontario context and readily available to educators. Google, YouTube and university databases were searched. Eighty-two sources were identified, 60% of which were by an Indigenous author/partner/illustrator.
General overview of historical context along with examples of specific schools for illustrative purposes and 'gap analysis' to recommend areas where further research is required. Second part of report is a more detailed summary of information on each school’s location and construction sequence, duration of operation, and reported cemeteries.
