Focuses on four areas: language needs, family and community involvement, alternative instruction techniques, culturally responsive schooling, and standards-based instruction.
Covers several themes: early childhood development, language and culture programs, teaching and curriculum, community involvement, student characteristics, and factors contributing to post-secondary success. Current as of 2001.
Discusses theme emerging from literature review: importance of understand ind social and economic relations which shape curriculum; analysis and recommendations regarding pedagogy; policy and governance issues. Identifies gaps in policy and practice.
