The Buffalo Bill Museum examines both the personal and public lives of W.F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody (1846-1917) and seeks to tell his story in the context of the history and myth of the American West.Historical note:
Buffalo Bill Cody helped found Cody, Wyoming in 1895, and established his TE Ranch in the area. In 1902, he built the Irma Hotel, which he called "just the sweetest hotel that ever was." Buffalo Bill maintained two suites and an office at the hotel for his personal use.Letters written by Canadian Militia Colour Sergeant William Thomas Wrighton in April and May of 1885 describe his experience at the Battle of Batoche during the Northwest Resistance. Includes archival photos of the soldiers and battlegrounds taken by Captain J. Peters. Entire issue on one pdf file, scroll to page 100.
