Duncan Campbell Scott (b. 2 August 1862-19 December 1947) was a Canadian poet and prose writer. Charles G.D. Roberts, Bliss Carman, Archibald Lampman and Scott are known as the "Confederation poets". Brooks moved from eastern Canada to what is now Indian Head in the spring of 1882; went into partnership in with George P. Murray to form Murray and Brooks, General Merchants, 1883. In 1885 he sat on the jury that found Louis Riel Guilty of High Treason.
