Researchers use a decolonizing approach in this study; interviewed 22 people from a First Nations community in Northern Ontario to explore the lived experience and perceptions about developing the disease. Findings indicate a need for culturally appropriate care.
Decolonizing Health in Canada: A Manitoba First Nation Perspective
Reports results of 183 interviews and focus groups held between 2015 and 2015 in eight communities with a variety of health delivery systems, geographies, accessibilities and language groups.
