Fort Pelly was located at the Indian Elbow of the Assiniboine River located eight miles south-west of the site of the present village of Pelly. The town of Fort Qu'Appelle, SK, is located in the Qu'Appelle Valley 70 km NE of Regina between Echo and Mission Lakes. Fort Qu'Appelle was the crossroads of a number of historic trails that traversed the North-West Territories.
