Joan Beatty was the first Aboriginal woman elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature. Prior to this Beatty had a career in journalism and production, as well as management at SaskTel.An edited collection of correspondence published in the Ayrshire Post, and written by William Gibson, a Scottish farmer settled in the Wolseley, SK area.
