A comprehensive report on the participatory research project funded by the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG, MMIW) facilitated through the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC). Project engaged 113 Indigenous and 15 non-Indigenous women drawing on their experience and expertise as survivors of gendered colonial violence.

Description
In interviews, thirty-three individuals from across Canada discuss living in urban centres, identity, and contemporary issues they consider to be important.
Each interview is approximately 30 min. long.
A total of 495 survey respondents were Indigenous, representing 39% of the population, and proportion was higher for unsheltered (46%) than sheltered (34%). Snapshot was taken March 13, 2019.
