Red Women Rising: Indigenous Women Survivors in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside

A comprehensive report on the participatory research project funded by the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG, MMIW) facilitated through the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC). Project engaged 113 Indigenous and 15 non-Indigenous women drawing on their experience and expertise as survivors of gendered colonial violence. Includes 35 key recommendations and full list of 200.
