This file contains excerpts from Reginald Beatty's diary, correspondence about his encounters with Cree people, and letters home to his parents detailing his experience in the 1885 Riel Rebellion. Mr. Beatty was a farmer and fur trader in what is now known as the Melfort area of Saskatchewan.
Comparison with non-Aboriginals using statistics on employment, income and education, as well as suggestions for developing three new indicators: governance, land and resources, and entrepreneurship and business development.

Project to identify protective factors which led women to leave abusive relationships and stay away permanently. Research involved women from five Ontario cities: Fort Frances, Hamilton, Ottawa, Timmins and Thunder Bay.
Interview and focus group participants in study were primarily grandmothers and mostly great grandmothers who were asked questions about traditional and contemporary practices, and reasons for the increase in dental problems.

Located in Edmonton, Alberta, the Wellness House is a 16-bed, minimum security facility as well as a residence for offenders on release in the community. Purpose of study was to gain an understanding of the women involved and the unique model of case management. Sixteen in-depth interviews with nine offenders and seven staff members were conducted.
