Factors Affecting Initiation and Duration of Breastfeeding Among Off-Reserve Indigenous Children in Canada

Study uses a nationally representative survey to examine factors that potentially affect breastfeeding practices among Indigenous women in Canada. Findings indicate that factors which are corelated to breastfeeding include: household income, mother’s level of education, mother’s attendance of residential school, child’s birth weight.
