She also discusses her frustration with the Canada 125th birthday celebrations which ignored aboriginal peoples languages but put a high emphasis on English and French. She then discusses some of the challenges facing her people in the field of language retention and curricullum development. Jerome then discusses her job for the fall which involves developing a Gwich'in immersion program.
