Goal of website is to share the stories of students, their communities, and their descendants by digitizing government records from federal and state archives. Some of the topics included are; coming to Genoa, discipline and punishment; education and curriculum; health, disease and mortality; and school operations.

Focuses on literacy texts and students' writing within and outside the curriculum to determine how students were assimilated.
