Measured nutritional health of Indigenous children under 5 and Indigenous women 14 to 49. Focused on: nutritional status, prevalence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus in women, child hospitalization, prevalence of tuberculosis and malaria in women, access to health services and programs, and characteristics of the domestic economy and diet.

Uses historical analysis to argue that federal government has a clear obligation to provide health care to Aboriginals but has failed to provide adequate services.

Discusses the long history First Nations people have had with epidemics often due to crowded living conditions and poverty.

Comments on funding caps and the effect on health and safety risks for First Nations people.
