Ashini calls on the Commission to stop the flights as they affect wildlife and scare small children.

He provides a brief history of the Innu people in Labrador and the effects on the Innu when Newfoundland entered Confederation in 1949. File contains an individual presentation by Sylvester Andrew, employee of the local school. He briefly describes the history of Aboriginal people in Labrador. Andrew states that hydro projects and low-level Canadian Forces jets have disrupted lives, as well as wildlife, which Innu people depend on for survival. Flooding has destroyed the hunting areas used by the Innu and Andrew believes the Innu must begin land claims negotations to prevent the loss of more land and resources.

The file contains a presentation by Armand Brousseau and Pierre Desnoyers. Brousseau and Desnoyers relate their experiences with the High Arctic Relocation as witnesses who lived in Resolute Bay at the time and served with the Canadian Armed Forces. Following their testimony the assembled Commissioners discuss some of the issues raised with them.

She appeals to the Commission to help end the low-level flying that disrupts the hunting and trapping that is essential for Innu survival.

He recalls stories of Aboriginal veterans returning to Saskatchewan and not receiving financial, educational or agricultural benefits that were given to non-Aboriginals. The file contains a presentation by Gordon Robertson. Robertson, a federal civil servant during the time of the High Arctic Relocation, testifies on the government's intentions with regard to Inuit policy, Arctic policy, and sovereignty issues during the era. Robertson also gives his view of Inuit testimony on the relocation and his own visits to Resolute Bay during the 1950s. The assembled Commissioners question Robertson on some of his testimony.

This file contains a presentation by Herman Saulis focusing on the injustices suffered by Canadian Aboriginal veterans upon returning home after the end of World War II. These veterans have not reached equalization regarding wartime contributions of benefits throughout the years. Saulis calls on the Commission to play an advocacy role on behalf of Aboriginal veterans to secure funding to create a non-profit Aboriginal veterans' association in New Brunswick. A brief question-and-answer session with the Commissioners.

File contains a presentation by Jerry Wetzel of Conne River, Newfoundland, describing in detail the history of the Mi'kmaq people in Newfoundland and the French in the 1700s. He debunks the "Mi'kmaq Mercenary Myth," a common myth that the Mi'kmaq people were brought to Newfoundland by the French to exterminate the Beothuks. Wetzel states that the Royal Proclamation of 1763 has been used by the Canadian government to "try to oppress the Mi'kmaq people and to destroy, to usurp their lands and destroy their self-government.

File contains a presentation by Joe Seymour and Reuben Wasacase relating to the Native Veterans Housing Project in Kenora, Ontario. The presenters originally surveyed Aboriginal veterans in the Kenora area and discovered a number of other issues affecting them, such as land entitlement, pensions and allowances, medical benefits, and unfair treatment relating to lack of recognition and neglect of veterans. Following the presentation is a question-and-answer session with the Commissioners.

Emberley briefly discusses the Oka Crisis, then presents on the connection between being an administered people and many of the social ills plaguing Aboriginal communities. Emberley then presents a series of ideas on imping the Land Claim process, preserving Aboriginal rights, the need for a whistle-blower's law, and dealing with the legacy of residential schools. The remainder of the presentation deals with world affairs and resource use as the presenter thinks they pertain to the goals of Aboriginal peoples.

Sam presents on his own experiences as a veteran, his reasons for enlisting, and the ill treatment he received upon his return to Canada. Following the presentation are comments by Commissioner Phillips, and by preceding presenter Wilfred Jacobs on the plight of Aboriginal war veterans.

The file contains a presentation by Larry Soldier, Ma-Mow-We-Tak Friendship Centre. Soldier discusses the background of the Friendship Centre, its' operations, and some of its' organizational history. Amongst the issues Soldier raises are race relations; elder's issues; recreation and youth issues; cultural programming; self-governance; housing; addictions; education; and service delivery. Following the presentation Commissioners Wilson and Chartrand discuss some of the issues raised with Soldier.
