Historical note:
The Buffalo Bill Museum examines both the personal and public lives of W.F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody (1846-1917) and seeks to tell his story in the context of the history and myth of the American West.Uses the Madison Buffalo Jump State Park as a starting point to discuss the buffalo's importance in the economies, cosmologies, social organization, and spiritual life of Indigenous peoples of the plains. Recommended for use with Grade 9-12 students.
