American Indian Culture and Research Journal, vol. 26, no. 2, 2002, pp. 63-114
Description
Comments on the large number of individual government reports that contain useful maps depicting Native American lands. The article also points out that because no one has sorted, classified, or indexed the many maps that come before the Indian Claims Commission and the Federal Claims Court (formerly the Court of Claims), treaty translation and wording are made more difficult.
