Description
The seven categories are: culture and languages, community driven and Nation-based, community engagement,,communication, collaboration, connection and commitment. For each category a value statement, a standards outline statement, and outcomes are given.
Includes information on preferred and non-preferred language, terms and ways of expressing oneself, context and historical information regarding recommendations, and further reading and resources for developing a deeper level of knowledge and understanding.

Discusses how to use storytelling and talking circles to facilitate sharing traditional knowledge among knowledge holders, their communities and emergency managers about community strengths, past emergencies, existing risks, and wise practices.
