Volume 1 describes how the Technical Planning Committee developed watershed planning objectives and strategies in accordance with Scientific Panel recommendations.
Volume 5 states that the purpose of the plan is to map and designate the areas that will be set aside as reserves to protect a range of forest values. The plan will also map and designate the harvested areas and the land that is outside of reserves, but where sustainable forest harvesting can take place.
