Discussion of images of archival treaty illustrations and photographs. Plates are divided into three groups: Plates 1-4 are treaty negotiations from 1871 to 1899; Plates 5-8 are treaty annuity payments; Plates 9-12 are treaty days dealing with post-treaty issues.

A photograph of the cast of the first play performed by School for the Deaf, entitled "The Historical Life of the Indians." Photo taken front of school. The cast appears to be all non-Aboriginal except for perhaps the girl seated at right in front row with a white doll in a papoose style wrapping. They wear stereotypical Indian style costumes fashioned out of [burlap?] All have head-bands or hats with feathers and one wears a mask. On the back is written: Xmas 1932.
Exhibit held at the National Museum of the American Indian. Curated by Gerald McMaster and co-curated by Arthur Renwick. Features works by: Marianne Nicolson, Shelley Niro, Mateo Romero, Nora Naranjo-Morse, C. Maxx Stevens, Jolene Rickard and Mary Longman.
