Artists profiled include Charley Patton, Mildred Bailey, Link Wray, Jesse Ed Davis, Stevie Salas, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Robbie Robertson, Randy Castillo, Jimi Hendrix, and Taboo.

Stories in book are based on accounts from Indigenous people who attended Kuper Island Residential School. Lesson plan is intended for use with Grades 9 and 10.
