Looks at radio and television coverage of key events or issues in both non-Native American-produced and Native American-created programs found in the American Archive of Public Broadcasting collection. Divided into five sections: (Mis)Representations of Native Americans; Termination, Relocation, and Restoration; The American Indian Movement; Native Americans in Contemporary News Media; and Visual Sovereignty: Native-Created Public Media.
Author uses her own experiences as non-Indigenous woman of color to explore the challenges in becoming an ally with Indigenous communities fight in their fight for decolonization.

Survey conducted using Respondent-Driven Sampling resulted in 601 adult and 229 child surveys being completed. In addition to health questions respondents were asked about other topics such as culture, identity, housing, discrimination, and access to justice.
