Historical note:
On 2 May 1885 Lieutenant Colonel William Otter was defeated by Poundmaker's war chief Fine-Day at the Battle of Cut Knife near Battleford, SK. A flying column of Canadian militia and army regulars was defeated by Poundmaker despite their use of a Gatling gun.Analysis of federal and provincial/territorial government health spending between 2011-2012 and 2018-2019 for First Nations and Inuit as well as for the general Canadian population.
Lesson plans for elementary and secondary school students for exhibition featuring works by Elaine Alexie, Erik Lee, and Carmen Miller. Topics include First Nations groups of central Alberta and the Boreal forest, brief survey of Indigenous art in the twentieth century, abstract art, and First Nations traditional art forms and materials.
