Described the circumstances leading up to, and the incident in which Charles Bremner had over $5, 000 worth of furs confiscated from him by Middleton and his men upon his arrest for suspicion of involvement in the North-West Resistance. Includes commentary on the partisan fallout of the situation when Bremner was released from jail because of a lack of evidence of his involvement but his property was not returned to him.
