Looks at the unique Aboriginal customary laws which are in place to deal with violations.
Documentary about the dozens of murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls who have disappeared on the stretch of highway between Prince George and Prince Rupert, British Columbia. Focuses on the family of Ramona Lisa Wilson, whose murder remains unsolved after twenty-five years.
Duration: 50:10.
Argues that researchers and the media have focused on a tenuous biomedical link while ignoring social issues such poverty and housing. Also argues that this has created a culture of fear which targets Aboriginals.
Report makes recommendations to: the Governments of Canada and British Columbia, to the RCMP, to local governments in Northeast British Columbia, and to private industry.
Examines the gendered nature of gangs, risk factors that contribute to Aboriginal gang involvement; and prevention approaches needed to help young women to leave the gang lifestyle.

Five overarching themes emerged: infrastructure and leadership; addressing trauma, colonization, and settler colonialism; knowledge translation and mobilization; addressing systemic oppression and structural issues of poverty and homelessness; and institutional supports.
