Article describe different models for understanding the intersecting relationships between the movement/migration of Indigenous youth who trade sex, the sex trade as a whole, and the social and cultural institutions which define, criminalize/prosecute, and intervene in the sex trade. Authors argue that the mobility of Indigenous youth in the sex trade is not always “trafficking” and can often be a response to marginalizing factors, rather than a source of marginality.

Description
Retrospective review of Tuberculosis (TB) Program performance in northern Manitoba. Information on 149 people diagnosed with TB and 3560 of their contacts was extracted from the Manitoba TB Registry and analyzed. Results indicate that program performance is dependent on residence on or off reserve and that action is needed to address multiple program performance factors.
Part I discusses historical and colonial context, provides snapshot of general communities and statistical indicators of families accessing services, and looks at the Indigenous Outcomes model found in Raising the Village.
Part II explores needs of families with children requiring specialized services, perspectives on partnership-building, and eight themes which emerged from discussions with non-Indigenous service providers.

Study of 60 young Indigenous mothers examines the association between setting and attaining goals and indicators of health behavior change. After six month of intervention it was found that goal attainment was not significantly associated with behavior change despite participants exhibiting confidence in completing goals and increased sense of agency.
