Description
Adapts the OECD Regional Development framework to an Indigenous context. Discusses Indigenous peoples in OECD countries, their regional development challenges, and the need for institutions and governance for overcoming them. Concludes with outline of five key elements of a framework: placed-based view, broad view of progress based self-determined choices, identification of assets, bottlenecks and growth potential and effective forms of governance, strengthening linkages and assessment of progress.

Description
Case study based on 25 interviews revealed social, economic and political factors effecting Inuit perspective of uranium mining, problems with consultation meetings, and some recommendations for improving Inuit participation in discussions.
Intent is to provide decision-making guidelines for communities, content creators, funding bodies, and industry partners; share best practices; educate industry about cultural practices; and encourage informed, respectful dialogue by participants in productions.
Provides the methodology and results of the Aboriginal traditional knowledge program undertaken by Northern Gateway Pipelines Limited Partnership. The objective of the program is to gain an understanding of and document traditional activities, project effects on traditional lands, and possible mitigation strategies.
