Historical note:
Joan Beatty was the first Aboriginal woman elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature. Prior to this Beatty had a career in journalism and production, as well as management at SaskTel.Studies four films; Smoke Signals, Powwow Highway, Medicine River, and Dead Man.
