Teacher's guide with detailed unit plans, based on a thematic approach to the novel. The guide is primarily aimed at adult learners, but could be used for high school classes.
Through personal testimonies charges that children were: deliberately exposed to disease, forced to undergo sterilization, beaten, sometimes to death and that these actions were taken with the goal of eventual elimination of the Aboriginal population.

Looks at working intercultural models by examining cultural practices, arts policies and literary and popular writing.
Looks at the strengths and limits surrounding Aboriginal oral traditions used in recreating the past in relation to Lax Kw'alaams Indian Band, et al. v. A.G. of Canada and HMTQ.
Reports findings from interviews with five groups: male youth age 15-19 years; female youth group 15-19; adult males age 20 years and over living without their dependent children; adult females age 20 years and over living without their dependent children; and individuals living with their dependent children. Interviews took place between June 13, 2005 and September 16, 2005, with 143 individuals participating.
An overview of the social work practice and spirituality literature on recent peer-reviewed publications, since 2004, illustrating the current topics, areas, and work being conducted in this field.
