Summary of study of same name which looked at movement of individuals or households within the same area and how it affected agencies which provide social services.
Study researchers conducted interviews with 140 Aboriginal women in eight sites, both urban and rural, across Canada in order to formulate policy recommendations that would support full cultural lives while pursuing contemporary work or education.
Provides background and description of agreement, analysis of major court decisions, information on programs currently delivered by Metis organizations, and identifies areas where greater supports are needed but funding has been inadequate.
