Never Until Now: Indigenous & Racialized Women's Experiences Working in Yukon & Northern British Columbia Mine Camps
Research consisted of survey and semi-structured interviews using open-ended questions with 22 respondents. Study found: limited job opportunityand longevity of employment, inadequate pay scale for hours worked, uequal work expectations, limited opportunities for advancement, inadequate harm prevention, gender or race harassement/discrimination with absence of grievance mechanisms, poor environmental practices, and limited economic benefits to Indigenous people.
