Report dealing with the National Historic Park at Batoche and discussing various proposed improvements and difficulties. Includes discussion of archeaology, classification, preservation, tourist facilities, ecology, historical representation and other issues encountered by the Park.

Major General Ivor John Caradoc Herbert, 1st Baron Treowen, CB, CMG, KStJ (b. 15 July 1851 - d. 18 October 1933), was a Liberal British politician and British Army officer in the Grenadier Guards, who served as General Commanding Officer in the Canada Forces from 1890 to 1895. In 1896, he was Colonel in the Grenadier Guards. He was made a baronet in 1907 and raised to a barony in 1917.Lesson uses interviews with Pat Vegas and Redbone from the documentary Rumble: The Indians That Rocked the World as a jumping-off point to examine the U.S. government's efforts to control Native American culture by way of music.
